The Accomplishments
Keeping students and staff safe has been one of my top priorities since day one.Over the past three years, we’ve taken real, practical steps to strengthen campus safety across Bellflower Unified:

• Added armed security on the perimeter of high school campuses
• Increased additional security personnel districtwide
• Installed vape detection systems on campuses
• Implemented K‑9 drug detection support
• Supported specialized professional development for our safety teams
• Created Standing Safety Committee to address ongoing safety concerns
• Currently reviewing threat assessment and crisis response protocolsSchool safety isn’t about one decision, it’s about constant attention, strong systems, and a commitment to prevention. Our goal is simple: make sure every student and staff member feels safe on campus every day.
Clear communication builds trust — and since joining the board, I’ve helped lead efforts to make our district more accessible, open, and connected to the community.
